A friend's house might work, but I've had friends lose important mail, so I prefer to keep my mail under my control. I have a post office box, but I think a mail service would work better because many places won't ship to a post office box and a mail service will accept UPS and FedX shipments for you, If authorized they can even sign for shipments that require a signature.
